In Grenoble, La Foca House delivered an oncology research centre that merges cutting‑edge design with sustainable timber construction. The pavilion layout separates labs, diagnostic suites and administrative offices, while the central glazed volume serves as reception and meeting space for scientists and patients.

• Floor area: 1 200 m² on a single storey
• Construction system: high‑performance timber platform‑frame
• Larch façade with dark metal accents; fully glazed entrance atrium
• Modular BSL‑2 laboratories and diagnostic rooms with dedicated HVAC
• Envelope U‑value 0.16 W/m²K; mechanical ventilation with 90 % heat recovery
• Flat roof ready for a 70 kW PV array
• On‑site structural assembly completed in 8 weeks
