In San Carlo (Ferrara), La Foca House delivered a 680 m² primary school accommodating 120 pupils in 7 classes. Conceived after the 2012 Emilia earthquake, the building provides a fast, safe and sustainable educational facility for the local community.

  • Platform‑frame timber structure, fire resistance REI60
  • Thermal performance: U‑wall 0.15 W/m²K – National Class A (EPtot = 6.6 kWh/m³ y)
  • Under‑floor heating with heat‑pump system
  • No exposed concrete (used only for foundations)
