Desire taking shape. New construction site in the Municipality of Garlasco (Italy)

Summer 2020

New construction site under construction in the Municipality of Garlasco about 40 km from Milan (Italy).

The pre-built building will be the new operational centre of the La Chiocciola non-profit association, which deals with assistance for the disabled.

Building with one floor of ​​230 m2, surrounded by greenery and in the peace of a splendid park.

This is a challenge we took upon to help improve living conditions for people that are going to use services provided by La Chiocciola association. In the design phase and before production in the plant the various details, related to the specific use of the building, were solved, in accordance with the designer and the local construction company.

Built according to the criteria of green building, with a wooden structure – it has simple, linear but welcoming geometries, which perfectly blend in to the environment and surrounding nature. The gabled roof and the large windows overlooking the park makes it a building that respects the landscape and the architectural traditions of the area.

The building will be the centre of the disabled assistance facility, located in a park of 13,000 square meters, with an area of animals used for pet therapy, pedestrian paths also called “life path”, outdoor living areas.

While working on this project our over twenty-year experience in school and health buildings have helped to meet the needs of the La Chiocciola association and the designer, for compliance with urban planning regulations and dedicated buildings assistance for the disabled. La Foca design and production adaptability has also quickly met and satisfied the site needs of the local general contractor.

The main value of this project lies in the use it will have. The La Chiocciola association will dedicate it as a new operational assistance centre, equipped with all the services and comforts of a modern disabled facility.

Thanks to the proven organization that we are, in one month, La Foca has been able to make the customer’s desire come true. We are happy for the opportunity to be a part of this project that is so important for the society.
